Established To Lead

I Am Has Sent me God may have given you a place as the head of a household, as a mother nurturing and teaching her children, as the pastor of a church, the boss or supervisor in a workplace, in any form of ministry or any area of gifting or expertise, or as an example to others in the area of conduct, faith or attitude and many other things. The area of responsibility in which someone is anointed and appointed to lead may encompass any or all of these things. In the Old Testament of the Bible, God called Moses to lead His chosen people out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. He established Moses firmly as His chosen leader of His people and put His own mark of authority upon him. In order to show His people His will, God instructed Moses to say to the Israelites, "I AM has sent me to you." Exodus 3:14 He gave Moses proof in the form of miraculous signs so that the elders of Israel would listen to him and believe. By God’s design, Moses’ staff would turn into a snake, his hand would...

The Passover Lamb has Come

The Passover Lamb has Come

The Lord says, “Greater love hath no man than this, than he lay down his life for his friends.” Herein is the entrance to praise! There is a way that seems right to a man, but the way of love you would not follow….

The Apostleship of Christ in the Church

The Apostleship of Christ in the Church

The Apostle Paul’s words ‘imitate me’ are a hard requirement for any man. Yet in it’s entirety it remains a key statement for the apostolic ministry within the local church — for it is Christ’s ministry that He continues to work in the lives of men, yet it is not a burden that man bears alone. The people to whom Paul made this address, are the very people who came to believe in Christ through Paul’s ministry. Yet Paul instructs them, imitate me!!

A Gospel of Love is a Gospel of Power

A Gospel of Love is a Gospel of Power

No Greater Love In the Apostle Paul’s Epistle to the Romans, Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to Salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” Romans 1:16 The Gospel of Christ is a Gospel of power because it is a Gospel of love. Therefore, our love walk must come first. It was Christ Jesus Who said, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13 That is exactly what Christ did and it is the example that all believers in Christ must follow. “When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He (Jesus) said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the Gospel’s will save it.” Mark 8:34 & 35 Many Will Stumble at These Words For those who refuse these words, the message of the Gospel...

The Challenge of Doing it Right

The Challenge of Doing it Right

The Beggar Named Lazarus “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ But Abraham replied ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from...

Entering God’s Rest

Entering God’s Rest

A day like any other day for Abram became a day unlike any other day and changed the course of history…..because he heard the Word of the Lord, he trusted Him and he obeyed!

The Kingdom of God is Near — Part Two

The Kingdom of God is Near — Part Two

In the book of Genesis in the Bible, at the time that God made His covenant with Abraham that He would give the Israelites the promised land, the promise was for Abraham and his seed. As a sign of that covenant, the Lord had instructed Abraham, for each male to be circumcised on the eighth day of his life. “This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.

Entering Into Freedom – Part One

Entering Into Freedom – Part One

We Need Faith to Walk in The Promises of God God wants every believer in Christ to walk in the fullness of the promises contained in His Word. The writers of Hebrews and James warn us however, that if we do not have faith, we will not receive the things that He has promised. “For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it” . (Hebrews 4:2) “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double–minded man, unstable in all his ways”. (James 1:6–8) The writer of Hebrews cautions us that like the Israelites who wandered in the desert and who did not enter into the Promised Land; If we fail to believe, neither will we enter into the promises of God. “So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief”. (Hebrews 3:19)...

If you would like to have a relationship with God through accepting His Son Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, please pray the prayer below.

Dear Heavenly Father. Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to die on the cross for my sins. I am sorry for the sins I have committed and I ask You to forgive me. I now turn away from all the things that I know to be wrong and I receive Your Holy Spirit and Your gift of eternal life. Thank You for this free gift of Salvation and eternal life. Help me to come to know and experience Your love for me more and more, and to now share the love You have given me with others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We would love to hear from you: If you have prayed this prayer for the first time, or have recommitted your life to Christ today I would love to hear from you to encourage you in your new walk with Christ. You can send me an email at:hello@lifeministries.org.nz

What next: Once we have started our relationship with Christ – it is important that we continue to grow in our understanding of Him, and experience His love for us on a regular basis. God does this for us as we read the Bible, which I encourage you to do on a regular basis, asking the Holy Spirit to help you understand it and make it “come alive” to you in a very personal way. May I encourage you to do this every day, and to actively pursue those things that God reveals to you. We also need to be spending time with other like-minded Christians on a regular basis, who are also growing in their relationship with God. We gain encouragement from being with other growing believers. Ask God to lead you to a Bible-believing church (or Bible-believing Christian group) that will encourage your relationship with Christ and help to meet your needs. Ask Him, and trust that He will guide you to the place of fellowship that is right for you.

May God both work in you and through you, those things that He desires, as you continue to submit your life to Him each day.
